This is the<em> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Condor_(ride)\">&#8220;Condor&#8221;<\/a><\/em> ride, which looks\u00a0 (and sounds) very strange &#8211; even\u00a0without the added psychedelic exposure. I\u00a0shot a series of them,\u00a0but because the\u00a0 spins and elevations constantly shift, it&#8217;s hard to predict the outcome. This was the best one, by far, and it won 1st place at my first visit to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Potomac-Society-of-Stereo-Photographers\/328658176944\">Potomac DC Stereo Society <\/a>monthly competiton. They joked it must be the first time a shot made by a Sputnik ever won anything!<\/p>\n<p>I enjoy showing this to people and\u00a0have them\u00a0guess what they&#8217;re looking at. I&#8217;ve heard some strange answers (&#8220;guitar,&#8221; &#8220;bell striker&#8221;). The distance of the subject certainly cuts down on the parallax, but there is still a little bit of\u00a0 depth left.\u00a0 A wider pair of synced Hassies would have been the ticket here&#8230; <em>(Right, Bob?) \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is another Bob V. inspiration!
