This is the road into Schiltach, Germany. We stayed at a nice little hotel in town during our vacation to Germany.
This was taken with a handheld (string monopod) Sputnik on Fuji Provia 100F (aka RDP III). The film was developed and scanned by TheDarkroom.
University Housing
Based on Google translate, this building is apparently student housing for a fraternity associated with the university in Heidelberg. It is right next to Heidleberg Castle, where I was standing when I took this photo. I guess I went to the wrong university.

Schloss Schramberg Ruins
These are the ruins of the castle on the hill above the town of Schramberg, Germany. My wife’s maternal Grandfather was from Schramberg, and we have a photo of him from almost 100 years ago sitting on the edge of the ruins with the town down below in the background.

One of the traction engine owners was having a rest. He was gracious enough to let me get this shot. This was at the Milton Steam Era show, held every Labour Day weekend. Shot with my TL120 on Provia 100f. I can’t recall the aperture, but it must have been large on this overcast day.
I have wanted to try a circular mask for a while. I made this mask by cutting a piece of unexposed film with a hobby punch. Then I tried to find a subject slide to go with it. Turns out that a circular mask cuts out a huge amount of image. This makes it unsuitable for the vast majority of slides. I now consider it an option, just like portrait and landscape mounts, for when there are distractions on a slide pair that you need to remove.
Taken at the Milton Ontario, Steam Era Show, this truck looked great on the grass. It is a bit grainy due to the Provia 100 film (I still have a roll or two).
A bit different take on the obvious ferris wheel shot. I was looking for a different image, and I turned around and saw this view. I thought it would be interesting in stereo. f22 8 seconds on Provia 100f film thru my TL120.
This is an area not far from Sydney Australia. When I visited Australia in 2002 the only medium format cameras I owned were two Sputniks. I shot a number of successful hypers with the two cameras, covering one lens on each and advancing the film one exposure at a time. I think I had the two cameras four feet apart on separate tripods here. Velvia 100F.
Photographed at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, I think in 2015. I used a TL-120, that camera can take amazing close-up portraits. Provia 100F pushed one stop. I used a Vivitar 285H fill-flash at half power with a plastic diffusor, the subject provided lots of nice reflective surfaces for the flash.
The only way to avoid the crowds around St. Peters is to get up at the crack of dawn. This was photographed shortly after sunrise with a Stereoflektoscop using Provia 100F pushed one stop. Vivitar 285H fill flash used. I was using the “Bulb” setting, probably a two second exposure based on incident metering.
This is a fountain at a Confucian temple in Tai Pei Tawain. Photographed May 2012 with a TL-120 using Provia 100F pushed one stop. Vivitar 285H fill flash used, although I don’t think it had much impact at this distance.
They say that ‘Guilin is the best scenery in Guangxi, and the best of Guilin is Yangshuo.’ There is no doubt that Yangshuo is a beautiful location in the world with it’s limestone Karst mountains and gorgeous waterways. I would highly recommend a visit. An added bonus is it’s little walkways and side streets such as this one at night. Mostly catered to tourists ( as most of this area is, for good reason), it’s an interesting area to visit. I enjoyed being able to safely take night shots throughout the town, and this shot being one of my favorites. Shot with my Sputnik MF3D camera on Fujifilm Provia 100f film.
